A rebuild of a local youth facility

We loved the challenge of bringing new life into an old structure and bringing some modern features into it.

The Cube was a really great project to be involved with.

First we had to remove the very old Bowling Pavilion which had been standing for many years. We used the original foot print of the old building but just added a small extension to the front side to create a bigger internal space.

Once all brick work was up to DPC we installed a bespoke timber-framed structure. This was designed to keep the Bowling Pavilion style as the existing building was. The structure was super insulated for low energy costs for the charity, and had an air source heat pump installed as well as underfloor heating. The roof had slates installed and we even had bespoke steel grills install on the front apex mimicking the original building. The exterior was cladded in cedar and aluminium bi-folding doors were installed as new UPVC windows.

The Cube was a stunning building to work on, and we’re very proud to be a part of creating this new space for the youth of Market Harborough.
